  • Where will the general session be located? All conference presentations will be held in the Legends Ballroom of the Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria.
  • Will there be networking opportunities? This will be announced during the conference opening ceremonies.
  • Where will the state intelligence meetings be located? These meeting will be held in various rooms and will be announced during the conference.
  • What dining options are available in the surrounding area? There are several dining options on site as well as nearby restaurants.
  • What is the dress for the conference? Attire for ROCIC conference may range from casual, to business casual, to professional dress according to the preference of the attendee and any policy from their agency.

Hotel and Transportation

The group block has been filled, no additional reservations can be made at the group rate. See “Overflow Hotel Information” tab below.

Conference registration and all presentations will be held at the Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria, 2222 West Loop South, Houston, TX 77027. 

Group Rate: $122 + tax per night
Self-Parking Rate for Overnight Hotel Guests: $15 + tax per night
Self-Parking Rate for Commuters: 0-3 Hours: $5.00 (tax included), 3+ Hours: $9.00 (tax included)

The Royal Sonesta does not provide an airport shuttle.

For your convenience, the Royal Sonesta shuttle will transport you to and from points of interest in Houston within a 3-mile radius. Shuttle service is available on a first-come, first-served basis in front of the hotel. Hours may vary. 

An ADA-accessible vehicle is also available upon request. The Front Desk or Valet is happy to make arrangements with you.

Payments and Registration

The registration fee is $150 per attendee for ROCIC or RISS member agencies.
The registration fee for non-member agencies is $250 per attendee.
*Registration fee includes all ROCIC training sessions and information exchange.

Registration and payment are required prior to the training. All registration fees must be made by check or credit card and received by ROCIC no later than March 11th to secure your spot at the conference. If payment is not received by March 11th, you will be notified, and the spot will be cancelled or given to someone on the waiting list.

*Attendees are responsible for lodging, meals and travel.

ROCIC training and information sharing events are restricted to full time employed law enforcement and prosecutorial personnel, to include investigative and analytical support staff. Private security, contract, reserve, auxiliary, and part time employees are not eligible for attendance.

Registration payment can be made by credit card and check. If paying by credit card, payment link will be included with email confirmation and sent to the email address listed when registering. There is a $6 nonrefundable processing fee per attendee for all credit card payments. Please make all checks payable to “ROCIC” and forward to the following address:

Refund policy: All refund requests must be made in writing and received by March 12th to receive a full refund of registration fees (the $6 credit card processing fee is non-refundable).

Vendor Registration

ROCIC and co-hosting agencies Houston Police Department and Houston Police Foundation are pleased to invite you and your company to take part by hosting a booth at the upcoming ROCIC 2024 Spring Conference. We are expecting 300 attendees representing law enforcement agencies from all levels of government: municipal, county, parish, judicial district, state, and federal.

Houston Police Foundation will handle all vendor payments. Once you have registered and received confirmation, print your confirmation email and include it along with your payment by check. Credit card payments can also be accepted but will incur an extra fee.

BOOTH FEE: $600

Includes draped table and 2 chairs, networking opportunities available
daily during the conference and in the evenings, and one on one interaction with attendees from 14+ states. (Electricity is not included – see below for more information)

Passport Card: If you want to be included on the Passport Card, you must elect to bring a door prize when registering and your registration AND booth fee must be received by March 1st.  
Each attendee will be given a “Passport Card” to get signed by each vendor. Please be ready to initial the card when attendees visit your table. This is incentive for them to visit and will put them in a special drawing at the end of the conference!

Electrical outlets are limited in the vendor area. For vendor booths that need electricity, it is recommended that you purchase electricity through the Royal Sonesta’s AV provider – Royal Productions. Please see form below and coordinate AV and electricity needs directly with Royal Sonesta.
