ROCIC MEMBERSHIP MEETING

Biloxi, MS • September 18, 2017

Chairman Tommy Loving called the meeting to order.

*Chairman Loving noted that the minutes from the March 27, 2017 Membership Meeting in Norfolk, Virginia are posted on the ROCIC Conference Website. Ricky Gardner made a motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Scott Deckard. Unanimous.

Chairman Loving discussed the 2017 Board Elections. The states of Kentucky, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Virginia will begin their new term in 2017. Each of the candidates from these states were unopposed, therefore, per the Constitution and By-laws, no election is necessary. Chairman Loving congratulated the following Board Members:

Kentucky: Director Tommy Loving – Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force Oklahoma: Assistant Director Bob Harshaw – Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation South Carolina: Deputy Chief Scott Deckard – North Charleston Police Department Virginia: Major Ricky Gardner – Bedford County Sheriff’s Office

Secretary John Miller announced that the following agencies were accepted for membership at the Board of Directors Meeting on September 17, 2017. These agencies include:

Chairman Loving recognized and thanked Vice-Chairman Jerry Philley and Secretary John Miller for their service as Board Officers this year. 

Executive Director Williams presented a gavel to Chairman Loving in appreciation of his term as Board Chairman. 

Chairman Loving asked for any unfinished business or any new business. 

*There being no further business, a motion was made by Ricky Gardner, seconded by Scott Deckard, to adjourn the meeting. Unanimous. 

The meeting was adjourned.
